When I first designed Mothers of Invention, I imagined the three Russian dolls at a rock concert, holding up lighters (as we did back in pre cell phone days) in honor of some awesome power ballad. I had dedicated the image to freedom of expression and cultural diversity, particularly on our public airwaves.

Since its first release, I have heard many different takes on the symbolism of the three dolls from an overwhelming contingent of strong, passionate and powerful women and mothers. And so for this second pressing, I would like to open my dedication to include this amazing feminine spirit; sometimes subtle and sometimes wild, she nurtures growth, change, peace and a fairer world for her daughters and all humanity. She also knows how to rock.

Mothers of Invention is a 3 color screen printed design on a black 70% bamboo and 30% cotton t-shirt. Our kids t-shirts are amazingly soft, naturally anti-microbial and are made in Canada.
